The ENVISION solution has successfully been deployed at Carcassonne-Salvaza LFMK/CCF Airport.
We have started the second phase of evaluation involving Air Traffic Controllers & both Commercial & GA Traffic.
This video demonstrates the results achieved during Phase 1 of the project.
The first phase was successfully conducted at the beginning of this year at Muret-Lherm airfield.
This confirms the potential of ENVISION as a cost-effective surface surveillance solution for medium size and small airports, moving a step ahead of conventional SMR and MLAT.
But ENVISION is also being sought as a gap-filler technology by big airports and in the context of Advanced ATC Towers.
More to come during the second phase of the project….
The ENVISION project was presented by both ALTYS and ENAC at World ATM Congress in Madrid, the world’s largest international air traffic management exhibition.
Air Navigation Services Providers (ANSPs), Airport Operators and the industry have demonstrated a keen interest in the concept.
They have also recognized the solution’s potential as a cost-effective surveillance infrastructure that may additionally complement conventional systems.
Following French DSNA decision to demonstrate the ENVISION concept at Carcassonne airport, the ENVISION consortium meets with the local division in charge of air navigation services provision and the airport operator to organize the technical installation.
More to come shortly, stay tuned!
the French Airport Technology association, PROAVIA, invited the ENVISION consortium to present its innovative concept at its annual conference, this year hosted by ENAC, the French Civil Aviation School.
The ENVISION technical platform was installed at the Muret airfield, near Toulouse, in April 2018 to test several combinations of surveillance sensor technologies and perform an initial evaluation of the ENVISION concept of operations.
A wealth of data was recorded to support the ENVISION development activities prior deployment at a second airfield planned later on in 2019.
ALTYS represented the ENVISION consortium at the ACI Europe SESAR Workshop in Malta on 12 April 2018 – thank you, SESAR JU and Airports Council International Europe, for the invitation!
the ENVISION concept was presented on ALTYS Technologies stand at the World ATM Congress in Madrid from 6 to 8 March 2018
The ENVISION consortium heads to Brussels to hold the official Kick-Off Meeting with the SESAR JU team.
Thank you SJU for your trust! We are proud to contribute to the SESAR 2020 program research on the future airport.
